Job summary

Sidney Stringer Academy is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work under the guidance of the Assistant Principal for Inclusion. You will support, monitor and track the progress of targeted students across key stages, delivering learning programmes to help individuals or groups, including pupils with special educational needs to make accelerated progress in Science.

This role may take place in the classroom or other teaching areas and provides opportunities to develop your skills through

Qualifications

Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
Excellent Science skills.
Evidence of having worked with children in some capacity.
A positive interest in working with students and the ability to inspire them.
Ability to build good working relationships with colleagues.
Knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of legislation.
General understanding of the National Curriculum and other basic learning programmes.

Responsibilities

Support, monitor and track the progress of targeted students at all key stages.
Implement learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups, including those with SEND to accelerate progress in Science.
This work may take place in the classroom or in other teaching areas.
Work under the guidance of the Assistant Principal for Inclusion.
