Science Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role in Levenshulme

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate Science Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme. This full-time role is set to start in January and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent position based on performance. The role offers £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience.

As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of high-quality science education across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a supportive school environment while inspiring students to develop a passion for science.

• Classroom Support: Assist teachers during science lessons, ensuring students stay engaged and on track with their learning.
• Small Group Interventions: Deliver targeted support to small groups of students, helping to close attainment gaps in key scientific concepts.
• One-to-One Support: Work with individual students who require extra assistance in understanding complex topics or improving their practical skills.
• Practical Lessons: Help set up and manage science experiments, demonstrations, and equipment, ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
• Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing teaching materials and resources that enhance the learning experience.
• Mentorship: Act as a role model and mentor, inspiring students to take an interest in science and pursue their academic goals.
• Progress Monitoring: Track and report on students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and suggesting strategies for improvement.
• Behaviour Management: Support students in maintaining focus and positive behaviour in the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
• Encouraging Aspiration: Promote interest in STEM careers by sharing insights and experiences related to science.

• Educational Background: Recent graduate in a science-related field, such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a similar discipline.
