  • Science Graduate Teaching Assistant - Camden Schools

  • Location: Camden, London

  • Position: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

  • Salary: GBP85-GBP100 per day

  • Start Date: September 2025



About the Role

As a Science Graduate TA, you will work closely with students and teachers in biology, chemistry, and physics lessons, offering tailored academic support, delivering small group interventions, and helping to raise student attainment and enthusiasm for STEM subjects.



Key Responsibilities


  • Support the teaching of science across KS3-KS4 (and KS5 in some cases)

  • Assist with lab preparations, practical work, and classroom demonstrations

  • Work with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to reinforce learning

  • Support students with additional needs, including SEN and EAL

  • Encourage curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking in young learners



Ideal Candidate


  • A recent Science graduate (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field)

  • Strong subject knowledge and communication skills

  • A genuine interest in education and working with young people

  • Positive, reliable, and adaptable with a can-do attitude

  • Prior experience with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
