Job summary

Landau Forte Charitable Trust in the Midlands is seeking an Assistant Curriculum Leader for the Science Department. You will support the Curriculum Leader, promote high teaching standards, model the academy's values, and drive cross-curricular, active learning to enrich science delivery.

The role requires a graduate with QTS, a strong commitment to CPD, and excellent relationships with students and parents.

Qualifications

• Graduate with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Relevant qualifications or experience to meet the role.
• Desire to improve outcomes for all young people in Science.
• Interest in latest developments in Science teaching.
• Keen to deliver A Level Science.
• Excellent relationships with students and parents.
• Willingness to explore innovative teaching methods and ICT use.

Responsibilities

• Assist Curriculum Leader of the Science Department.
• Promote high standards in teaching and learning within the subject area.
• Model the Academy's vision and values.
• Support policy implementation and collective responsibility.
• Support cross-curricular active learning approaches in science.
• Recognise and celebrate diversity.
• Be accountable for student outcomes and staff development.
• Develop knowledge of current educational practices and CPD.
• Comply with Academy procedures and reporting.
• Promote fair use of the behaviour policy.
