Science Cover Supervisor

Location: Wolverhampton, Secondary School

Start Date: Autumn Term 2025

We’re looking for enthusiastic and confident Science Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Wolverhampton. This is a great opportunity for anyone with classroom experience who enjoys supporting students and keeping learning on track when teachers are absent.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-planned Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 classes
  • Manage the classroom and promote positive behaviour
  • Keep pupils engaged and on task throughout the lesson
  • Offer help and encouragement where needed
  • Report any issues or concerns to senior staff
  • Work flexibly across different Science groups and year levels
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a secondary school setting (Cover Supervisor, TA, or similar)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Reliable, adaptable and confident working with young people
  • A genuine interest in supporting students’ learning and development
