Science Teacher & Mathematics Teacher 2 Positions Available
Location: Rye, East Sussex
Pay: £160 - £245 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 08 00
Contract Type: Long-Term (with the potential for a permanent position)
Start Date: September 2025

About the Roles:

We are currently seeking two qualified teachers to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Rye, East Sussex. The school has two exciting long-term opportunities available for a Science Teacher and a Mathematics Teacher, starting in September 2025. For the right candidates, there is potential for these roles to become permanent.

This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a well-resourced school that fosters a collaborative working environment and places a strong emphasis on professional growth and academic achievement.

This mixed secondary school caters to students aged 11-16 and is known for its inclusive, nurturing, and aspirational culture. Key Responsibilities As a Subject Teacher, you will:
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in your subject area (Science or Mathematics) across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Support student progress through high-quality teaching and feedback

  • Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

  • Collaborate with colleagues to raise standards across the department and school

The Ideal Candidates You will:
  • Hold UK QTS or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching Science or Mathematics at KS3 and KS4

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills

  • Be committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of learning

  • Be willing to apply for or already hold an enhanced DBS check
