Overview

Job Title: Science and Maths Teacher

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full time - Temporary (possibility for temp to perm for the right candidate)

Location: Cheltenham

We are currently working in partnership with an Alternative Provision setting in Cheltenham that supports secondary-aged pupils who require a more tailored and supportive educational environment. They are seeking a committed and adaptable Science and/or Maths Teacher to join their team immediately on a full-time basis.

This is a temporary role initially, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The school is open to applications from teachers who specialise in either Science or Maths, or those confident in delivering both subjects.

Responsibilities
  • Full teaching responsibilities including planning, delivery, assessment, and pastoral support.
  • Working with small groups of students who may present with SEMH needs or have experienced barriers to mainstream education.
  • Creating engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire and re-engage learners.
  • Collaborating with a supportive team to promote academic progress and personal development.
Requirements
  • Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience in alternative provision, PRU, SEN, or behaviour support settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and a nurturing, resilient approach.
