A local educational institution in Exeter is seeking a motivated Science and Food Technician to join its teams. This part-time role involves preparing resources for two departments and offers flexibility in hours. Ideal for individuals interested in education, with training provided for candidates lacking specific experience. The closing date for applications is midnight 12th October 2025.
Clyst Vale is a thriving and vibrant 11-18 Community College situated five miles from Exeter. Starting in November, we are looking to recruit a professional and motivated Science and Food Technician to join our highly successful Science and Technology teams. This role is being advertised as a Grade B position and would be ideal for someone who may be looking at a career in teaching and wants to gain first-hand experience of working in a school.
You will need to have good interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work as part of a team and have excellent planning and organisational skills.
For the Food Technician part of the role:

Previous experience of working in a school and possession of a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous but are not essential as full training will be given.
The role is split into two parts:
There is some flexibility around these hours and how they are split and this can be discussed at interview.
