Business area introduction

Private Debt Mobilization (“PDM”) consolidates various private-side distribution and structuring teams from the bank’s corporate and institutional sectors, including private-side structuring, underwriting risk management, loan syndication, securitization, structured sales, private placements, repackaging, credit insurance, and trade distribution.

Key activities

Reporting to the Head of PDM Infrastructure and Fund Finance Europe (“PDM Infra and Fund Finance”) based in Madrid, the successful candidate will support senior team members across London and Madrid in analyzing underwriting and value-added opportunities within Infrastructure and Fund Finance. The role involves collaboration with the Structured Finance (“SF”) origination teams across Europe on deal structuring, pricing, and distribution strategies, as well as managing underwriting, syndication, and sell-down processes in primary and secondary markets, coordinating with Loan Sales and Market Sales teams, and other PDM teams on de-risking solutions such as CLOs, TRS, Loan-on-Loan, principal financing, PCI, and portfolio sales.

The position includes attending client and investor meetings, participating in credit and underwriting applications, and delivering commercial presentations. The candidate will provide insights on investor capacity, pricing, comparable transactions, and emerging technologies.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in the European Structured Finance loan market, including pricing, legal documentation review, and credit understanding.
• Degree in Engineering, Finance, Science, or Mathematics.
• CISI Regulatory Module certification.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of Spanish is desirable.

This role is based at our Triton Square office in London, near Euston and Warren Street Stations.
