WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The role involves assisting the FIG head for the Netherlands in managing client relationships with banks, insurers, and asset managers. You will help originate transactions and support product teams across the main pillars of investment banking: Global Banking, Markets, and Global Transaction Banking. The ideal candidate should (i) be eager to work on projects within a large, diverse, and global organization in a challenging and dynamic environment and (ii) demonstrate intellectual curiosity about product offerings across DCM, Securitisation, Acquisition Finance, Structured Finance, derivatives, FX, etc.

We need someone like you to help us on different fronts:

  • Support the FIG team in managing relationships with institutional clients based in the Netherlands
  • Assist in originating and executing transactions across Global Banking, Markets, and Transaction Banking
  • Prepare client business plans, monitor performance in terms of client profitability and revenue targets, and manage internal portfolios
  • Draft presentations for internal and external purposes in collaboration with product teams
  • Ensure client credit approval (annual review of credit lines or ad hoc requests) and compliance with regulatory processes (KYC, MIFID II) in coordination with dedicated teams
  • Conduct financial and strategic analysis on sectors, competitors, and clients
  • Proactively manage compliance and non-financial risks

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of X years relevant experience in investment banking at a top-tier international bank

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred); strong academic record, preferably in business administration, finance, accounting, or economics

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience in Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Treasury Products (including internships)
  • Knowledge of key products such as capital markets, derivatives, cash management, or securitisation
  • Ability to meet deadlines while paying attention to details
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Coverage of Financial Institutions is a plus
  • Languages: Fluency in English and Dutch; Spanish is a plus

OTHER INFORMATION

  • This role may require occasional travel within Europe, primarily to our geographical hubs.
