Job summary

Durham School Services is seeking a Van/Minibus Driver for immediate employment. You will start as a Driver in Training, with comprehensive in-house training to obtain the required endorsements and learn company policies. No CDL experience is necessary to begin as a Driver in Training.

The program leads to placement as a Non-CDL Driver upon successful completion of training. We offer a flexible schedule, competitive rates, and opportunities for career growth—plus a $500 sign-on bonus for those

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain all valid applicable state licenses to operate company vehicles.
• Must pass physical and medical requirements and substance abuse screening.
• Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training.
• Must practice defensive driving and maintain safe driving habits.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and reliable transportation by operating a school bus or vehicle with a fixed or changing route.
• Reports to duty on time and maintains routes on time in a safe manner.
• Assists passengers in evacuation during emergencies.
• Complies with company policies, completes required paperwork timely.
• Maintains professional appearance and cooperates with staff, customers, and passengers.
