Join Our Team as a Unit Manager

We are recruiting an experienced Unit Manager who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service. You will confidently oversee all catering and service operations for Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, on a full-time basis, contracted for 35 hours per week.

As a Unit Manager, your responsibilities include ensuring smooth operation of our unit and service counters, delivering outstanding customer experiences, and leading your team effectively. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Please note: This role is contracted for 45 weeks per year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising teams to ensure high standards in food and customer service
• Managing unit operations, including inventories, budgets, and action plans
• Communicating with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Identifying opportunities for new service concepts to increase sales
• Liaising with customers and internal teams to exceed expectations
• Supporting and training staff, leading by example
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards for compliance

Ideal Candidate:

• Passionate about great-tasting food and excellent customer service
• Minimum of two years management experience in a similar sector
• Experience managing teams in a comparable role
• Strong financial acumen
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ambitious and eager to upskill
