Overview

We are looking for an experienced or qualified Theatre Technician to order technical equipment, set up and strike equipment and operate equipment for major events and to be responsible for maintenance, care and storage of all technical equipment belonging to the school. This is an exciting opportunity to drive forward the technical provision for the arts and to support students and staff. The post demands technical expertise and there may be more than 50 hours work available, especially at the outset of this new role.

Responsibilities
  • Order technical equipment, set up and strike equipment and operate equipment for major events.
  • Be responsible for maintenance, care and storage of all technical equipment belonging to the school.
  • Work in an organised and efficient manner; understand the complexities of working in a school or educational environment.
  • Provide technical support for all users and be able to problem solve with good logistical planning.
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic and positive approach with energy, stamina and a sense of humour.
