Job summary

Trafford Leisure is seeking a qualified Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join the move Urmston aquatics team. This fixed-term role delivers school swimming lessons to local primary pupils during daytime hours, with a focus on water confidence, swimming ability and safety in a supportive environment.

The role offers day time teaching hours during the school week, the chance to contribute to a community-focused programme, and progression opportunities within Trafford Leisure as teaching

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured school swimming lessons for primary-aged children

• Promote water safety and positive behaviours around the pool
• Collaborate with school staff, pool staff and colleagues
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment

Block 1: 7th September 2026 to February 2027

• Wednesday 1:00pm-2:00pm

Block 2: February 2027 to 19th July 2027

• Tuesday 1:00pm-3:00pm
• Wednesday 1:00pm-2:00pm

We’re looking for a qualified Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join our aquatics team at move Urmston, delivering school swimming lessons to local primary school pupils.

As part of a supportive and experienced team, you’ll help children develop water confidence, improve their swimming ability and gain essential water safety skills. You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging lessons that support pupils to achieve National Curriculum swimming outcomes in a safe, positive and inclusive environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking for daytime teaching hours during the school week, with the potential to pick up additional teaching hours across Trafford Leisure as opportunities arise.

The Role

As a Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher, you’ll deliver safe, engaging and inclusive school swimming lessons, helping pupils develop confidence in the water, improve their swimming ability and build essential water safety skills.

You’ll create positive learning experiences that encourage participation and progression while helping pupils achieve their individual learning outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering structured school swimming lessons for primary-aged children
• Supporting pupils to develop swimming ability, confidence and water safety awareness
