Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide high-quality support for pupils in primary schools around Telford. The role is full-time and long-term, starting ASAP, with a daily pay rate of £95-£120.

You will assist teachers, work with individuals and small groups, prepare materials, encourage participation, and support students with varying needs. Experience in education or care is preferred, and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, care, support work, psychology, youth services, or healthcare.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to enhance learning outcomes.
• Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
• Encourage pupil participation and positive behavior.
• Support students as a learning mentor with varying educational needs and abilities.
