Job description

Sports Coaches / Graduates - Teesside

The Education Network is a leading supply teaching agency currently recruiting Sports Coaches / Graduates for various schools in Teesside.

Due to high demand, we aim to expand our pool of available Sports Coaches/Graduates to work in secondary schools on both a daily and long-term basis. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work across different schools, enhancing their teaching experience.

Minimum Requirements
  • At least 6 months experience working with students aged 11-18
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about education
  • Possess at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Typical Responsibilities
  1. Supervise classes, ensuring students complete all work and activities in the absence of the permanent teacher, including introducing and closing the lesson.
  2. Complete class registers to ensure all students are present.
  3. Display constructive classroom management and promote a positive learning environment.
  4. Demonstrate enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, confidence, and the ability to work independently.
  5. Ensure pupils stay on task and complete pre-set work, minimizing distractions.
  6. Assist students with questions and provide appropriate responses.
  7. Follow lesson outlines and collect completed work and resources at the end of lessons.
  8. Understand and adhere to school policies and procedures; deal with emergencies effectively when required.
  9. Provide feedback to the class teacher regarding student progress, behaviour, and relevant information for follow-up.
