Banks Lane Junior School in Stockport is seeking a dedicated Site Supervisor to join our friendly team. You will help keep the school running smoothly, safely, and looking its best for pupils, staff and visitors, with responsibility for daily site operations and safety.

The role requires a hands-on, proactive approach, split shifts from 7:00–10:00 and 14:30–18:00, and reliability to support cleaning, maintenance, and grounds care across the site.

Qualifications

• A hands-on, practical person with basic DIY or maintenance skills.
• Previous experience in cleaning or caretaking (school setting a bonus).
• Proactive, able to work independently with reliability.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe environment for children.
• Flexibility and willingness to contribute to the life of the school.

Responsibilities

• Site Security: Opening and locking up the school buildings and grounds.
• Maintenance: Carrying out minor repairs, DIY tasks, and routine safety checks.
• Cleaning: Undertaking daily cleaning duties and coordinating the cleaning team.
• Grounds Care: Keeping outdoor areas tidy and safe, including gritting in winter.
• General Support: Moving furniture, receiving deliveries, and setting up halls for events.
