Job summary

Principal Education is recruiting a reliable School Site Supervisor for an East London secondary school, starting ASAP. The role involves keeping the premises safe, secure and well maintained, supporting the daily running of the school.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a caretaker/site supervisor or facilities/maintenance worker, with practical DIY skills, reliability and good organisational abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caretaker/site supervisor/facilities role.
• Ability to carry out maintenance tasks.
• Willingness to undertake safeguarding checks, including Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure the school premises, including locking and unlocking buildings.
• Carry out routine site inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Undertake general maintenance, minor repairs and basic DIY tasks.
• Ensure school buildings and external areas are safe, clean and tidy.
• Assist with deliveries, moving furniture and setting up rooms.
• Monitor site security and manage access to the premises.
• Report health and safety concerns and ensure site procedures are followed.
• Support the wider school team with day-to-day site requirements.
