Job summary

Academics Ltd is recruiting a Site Supervisor for a primary school in Newham, East London. The role covers opening and securing premises, site inspections, basic maintenance and keeping external areas tidy to support a safe, welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

You will work Monday to Friday, 6:00am-10:00am and 3:00pm-6:00pm (35 hours per week), with duties including liaising with contractors, handling deliveries, health and safety compliance, and ensuring the site remains secure at day

Qualifications

• Experience in site supervision orCaretaker roles is beneficial.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work independently.
• Basic DIY and maintenance knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure the school premises and operate security systems.
• Carry out routine site inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Undertake minor repairs and general maintenance in and around the school.
• Maintain the school grounds and external areas.
• Respond to maintenance requests and report significant issues.
• Support safe running of the site and keep a welcoming environment.
• Assist with deliveries, waste management and movement of equipment.
• Liaise with contractors and supervise on-site works.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report hazards.
• Ensure premises are secure at the end of the day.
