Job summary

BTSA, in partnership with Governors, staff and The Avenue pupils, seeks a proactive site and facilities manager to take operational ownership of the school site, premises management, health and safety, and regulatory compliance to ensure a safe, well-run learning environment. You will lead daily H&S operations, manage risk assessments, record-keeping, and audits, and align premises activities with ISSs.

Qualifications

• Experience in premises management and facilities operation.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and COSHH compliance.
• Ability to lead audits and regulatory checks.
• Experience with HR administration and recruitment records.

Responsibilities

• Lead on day-to-day Health and Safety implementation.
• Manage statutory compliance checks (water testing, fire safety, audits).
• Oversee COSHH registers and safe storage of hazardous materials.
• Coordinate external audits, inspections and regulatory visits.
• Direct line management of site staff and contractors.
• Develop and maintain school policies related to premises and safety.
