Job summary

Netherthorpe School is seeking an efficient, friendly caretaker to join the Site team in Chesterfield. Reporting to the Premises Manager, the role covers security of premises, lighting, heating, cleaning, maintenance and operation of plant, plus porterage and grounds work.

The closing date is 9am on Monday 16 November 2026. The Trust is committed to safeguarding children and may require an Enhanced DBS check; online checks of shortlisted candidates are part of the due diligence process.

Qualifications

• Efficient, friendly and self‑motivated caretaker.

Responsibilities

• Security of premises and site, lighting and heating management.
• Cleaning, maintenance and operation of plant.
• Porterage, grounds maintenance and handy person duties.
• Provide an efficient support service to site users and community groups.
