School Site Assistant (Caretaker) - Bristol

Salary: Grade 7; from £29,166 (including shift allowance of £3,581.76 per annum)

Hours: 37 per week, alternating shift pattern:

1. 7.00 am to 3.30 pm and 2.00 pm to 10.30 pm Monday - Thursday
2. 7.00 am to 3.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm Friday

You will also be required to work one weekend in four, for which you will be paid additionally as overtime.

Key duties include:

• Security of the site
• Minor maintenance work
• Cleaning and portering
• Liaison with contractors and site hirers
• Responding to emergency out-of-hour call-outs

The successful candidate will have practical handyman skills, be a team player, and may act as the school's first aider (training provided). IT skills and willingness to undertake training are essential.
