Job description

School Nurse (RN) needed in Marysville, Washington! Enjoy the flexibility of working with an agency at a local school which allows you to have a recruiter that always has your back and advocates for you while you get to do what you love!

Contract Details:

  1. Location(s): Marysville, WA.
  2. Contract through the 2024/2025 school year.
  3. Contract follows the academic district calendar - 37.5 to 40 hours per week.

Salary:

  1. $55-$60/hr.

Qualifications:

  1. Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing or a baccalaureate degree in an allied field.
  2. Washington or multistate RN license.
  3. Current standard first aid card and CPR card.
  4. Preference will be given to those with community health and/or school nurse experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct nursing care to students and staff members as needed.
  2. Work directly with the family of any students in need of 1:1 nursing care to administer personal medical care, including transportation, and any school medications.
  3. Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health concerns and provide appropriate interventions.
  4. Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic illnesses or special health needs.
  5. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
  6. Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
  7. Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
  8. Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including illness prevention, nutrition, and hygiene.
  9. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address health concerns and promote a healthy school environment.
  10. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and serve as a resource for school health policies and procedures.
  11. Stay up to date on current nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines related to school health services.
