Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, caretaking, or property maintenance, preferably in education, commercial, or public sector settings.
• Strong DIY skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety requirements (COSHH, Legionella, Fire Safety).

Responsibilities

• Premises management: maintain buildings, grounds, and facilities to high safety standards.
• Security: act as primary keyholder, manage opening/closing and site security.
• Health & Safety: conduct safety checks, risk assessments, and compliance logging.
• Maintenance & Repairs: perform day-to-day DIY, minor repairs, painting, and planned maintenance.
• Contractor Management: oversee external contractors on-site with safety compliance.
• Team Collaboration: support school leadership in an alternative education setting.
