Job summary

Harris Girls' Academy Bromley is seeking a Premises Manager to lead the Premises Team, oversee health and safety, and manage maintenance across the academy site. You will work with the Estates Manager and Head of Academy to ensure high-quality facilities.

This role demands strong facilities management experience, contractor liaison, budgeting, and the ability to respond to emergencies outside normal hours, with a practical, hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent qualifications/experience required.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and requirements.
• Training in Health and Safety standards preferred.
• Experience in building, grounds, or facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Premises Team with recruitment, performance management and training.
• Supervise external contractors and manage site works.
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, decorating and building works.
• Ensure buildings and facilities meet health and safety standards.
• Manage security, opening/closing, and safeguarding compliance.
• Coordinate planned maintenance programmes and facilities services.
• Oversee deliveries and community use of premises.
• Manage budgets and seek best value for money.
• Lead on incident response and emergency planning.
