The role offers the opportunity to work within a well-established medical and performance department, delivering elite-level care to adolescent athletes.

Role Overview:

You’ll work closely with the Head of Physiotherapy, Sports Doctor, School GP’s, and the strength and conditioning team to ensure pupils receive integrated, gold-standard care.

This is a key position within the school’s multidisciplinary health and performance team and includes participation in weekly medical meetings and regular communication with housemasters, matrons, heads of sport, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert physiotherapy care for adolescent athletes, including assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and injury prevention.
  • Collaborate with the wider MMG and Harrow medical teams, including sports doctors, school GP, and S&C staff.
  • Attend weekly multidisciplinary medical team meetings and provide clinical updates and recommendations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with housemasters, matrons, heads of sport, and parents as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in line with Return2Play standards.
  • Manage your own diary and caseload to ensure pupils receive timely, efficient, and effective care.
  • Liaise with external healthcare providers as appropriate to support continuity of care.
  • HCPC-registered Chartered Physiotherapist with CSP membership.
  • Proven experience working with adolescent athletes in a clinical, sporting, or school environment.
  • Experience working with adolescent athletes and a clear understanding of their unique needs.
  • Strong MSK and/or sports physiotherapy background.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence working in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload independently, while maintaining collaborative communication with team members.
  • Experience in a boarding school or elite youth sports setting.
  • Familiarity with strength and conditioning programs and return-to-play protocols.
  • Confident in presenting or contributing to injury prevention and health education sessions.

What We Offer:

  • The opportunity to work in one of the UK’s most renowned independent schools.
  • Collaboration with an exceptional team of clinicians and performance staff.
  • Support, mentoring, and CPD opportunities through Meliora Medical Group.
  • A rewarding and dynamic clinical environment with state-of-the-art facilities.
  • Term time only working hours circa 35 weeks per year.
