  • Manage the Headteacher's diary and schedule appointments efficiently.
  • Support the School Office staff in providing a professional front-line service.
  • Handle phone calls and personal enquiries professionally.
  • Assist with meetings, including room bookings and preparation.
  • Welcome Headteacher's visitors courteously.

Overview

Randstad is looking for a friendly experienced Personal Assistant to join one of school in Huntingdon.

This is a full time role and the normal hours will be between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, You will also need to be available for 5 days each week.

Responsibilities
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment within a highly regarded educational institution

  • To be responsible for managing the Headteacher\'s diary, ensuring appointments are scheduled efficiently, and conflicts are resolved promptly
  • You will manage other staff in the School Office, supporting them in providing an efficient, friendly and professional front line service for staff, parents, pupils and visitors
  • Dealing with all phone calls and personal enquiries efficiently and professionally
  • Arranging and assisting with meetings as requested, including booking rooms, providing refreshments, preparation of materials and minute taking, in order to ensure their timeliness and smooth-running
  • Meeting and greeting the Headteacher\'s visitors, displaying due courtesy and tact to ensure that visitors are welcomed into a friendly and professional environment
  • Responsibility for collating exclusion, suspension, appeals, investigations and complaints documentation paperwork
The required skills
  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (essential)
  • DBS on a update service is a must or willingness to get a new one
  • Provide specific references
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, parents, and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
