Job Description

As a PE Technician, you will be essential to the smooth operation of the PE department. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Equipment Management: Maintain, prepare, and set up sports equipment and facilities for lessons and extracurricular activities.
  2. Support for PE staff: Assist PE teachers during lessons and events, including setting up and taking down equipment.
  3. Health and Safety: Ensure all equipment and facilities meet health and safety standards.
  4. Inventory Management: Keep an accurate inventory of all PE equipment and order new supplies as needed.
  5. Administrative Duties: Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and communication with students and parents.
  6. Event Coordination: Support the organisation and execution of sports events, competitions, and school sports days.
Skills and Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the specific subject area.
  • A full driving licence is desirable.
  • A passion for sports and physical education.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
