Job summary

Charterhouse School is seeking a highly organised Payroll Officer to join our busy Payroll team. This pivotal role delivers an accurate payroll service for school employees, ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and pension rules, while maintaining confidentiality.

You will process monthly payroll for about 1,000 staff, work with HR and Finance, maintain remuneration records and respond promptly to payroll queries, using our computerised systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths required.
• Payroll qualification or willingness to work towards one desirable.
• CIPP qualification or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for school employees accurately and on time.
• Work closely with HR, Finance and school leaders to coordinate payroll inputs.
• Maintain remuneration records and respond to payroll-related queries.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and pension regulations.
