Job summary

Compass Community is seeking an Education Business Support Officer to coordinate non-teaching operations and support school leadership. You’ll bridge office staff and senior leaders, ensuring a smooth, welcoming front-of-house and robust administrative systems.

You will manage pupil records, attendance and safeguarding data, organise meetings, support HR, admissions and financial compliance, and help keep the school community well informed and compliant.

Qualifications

  • Strong administrative experience, ideally in education, social care, or regulatory setting.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Discreet, professional and committed to confidentiality.

Responsibilities

About The Role

Join Compass Community as an Education Business Support Officer. Are you a highly organised with a passion for supporting education? Compass Community is seeking a dedicated School Operations Officer to ensure the smooth running of our School’s non-teaching operations. This is a pivotal role, sitting between office staff and senior leadership, where you’ll make a real difference to our staff, pupils, and families.

What You’ll Do

Candidate Profile
  • Strong administrative experience, ideally in a social care, education or regulatory setting.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Familiarity with compliance processes, audits or data reporting (desirable).
