Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a proactive School Operations Manager to oversee non-teaching functions at a busy SEMH school in Plaistow, Newham. This full-time role starts ASAP and offers a competitive salary dependent on experience.

You will lead office, support and premises teams, manage health and safety, compliance, and budgets, and work closely with senior leadership to optimise systems and safeguarding compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in school operations, business management or an equivalent senior management position.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Excellent understanding of health & safety and school compliance.
• Experience managing staff, contractors and operational processes.
• SEN/SEMH experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily school operations and administrative functions
• Managing office, support and premises teams
• Ensuring health & safety, risk assessments and statutory compliance are maintained
• Overseeing contractors, maintenance arrangements and facilities
• Supporting HR, staffing, procurement and operational budgets
• Working closely with senior leadership to improve systems and procedures
• Ensuring the school operates effectively within safeguarding and regulatory requirements
