Job summary

Allenton Community Primary School in the East Midlands is seeking a School Operations Manager to lead the school office and coordinate HR, payroll and essential administrative processes.

The role works with the Head of School and Transform Trust to ensure accurate finance, HR workflows, health & safety and safeguarding across the site, with a focus on service planning, development and staff supervision from January 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience of general office management, ideally in an educational setting.
• Experience of managing people and supervising staff.
• Ability to perform routine and complex financial calculations.
• Ability to interpret data and present it clearly to senior staff.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, able to work as part of a team.
• Strong literacy and numeracy; excellent communication with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Manage the school office and provide HR, payroll and other administrative, financial, health & safety and organisational processes within the school.
• Contribute to planning, development and monitoring of support services and management of some support staff, including delegation of relevant activities.
