Northern Saints Church of England Academy is seeking a School Office Administrator to manage the school’s administrative and finance functions, support senior leaders, and coordinate essential processes. The role includes admissions work, attendance tracking, MIS updates and liaising with parents, staff and external agencies.
You will maintain digital records, support health and safety, contribute to communications, and help promote the school through its website and social media.
The School Office Administrator will:
Manage the administrative and/or finance function within the school, including staff and systems.
To track debts and ensure payments are made in a timely manner following policy and good practice.
Prepare and complete documents and returns in relation to admissions and registration procedures and transfers to other schools.
Ensure attendance, registers and child details are correct and accurate.
Follow up pupil absences through telephone and inboxes and record and update MIS systems.
Provide support on administrative tasks for senior leadership staff, academy council and others.
Provide assistance to the Headteacher when required.
Support the Headteacher and Business Manager in the area of health and safety
Ensure all asset management is up to date
Liaise with other staff, pupils, parents/carers and external agencies
Develop and maintain record and information on digital systems.
Produce, and respond to, correspondence
Contribute to marketing and promotion of the school
Be the first point of contact for visitors and parents - answering queries, resolving problems and making decisions where appropriate or proactively seek out the appropriate person to obtain information and support for parents, ensuring queries are resolved in an appropriate time scale.
To co-ordinate an annual visit from a school photographer and provide best value to parents for this service in consultation with them.
Maintain the school website under the direction of the school business manager and Headteacher.
To maintain social media platforms under the direction of the school business Manager and Headteacher.
To attend any training courses relevant to the post, ensuring continuing, personal and professional development.
Ability to present oneself as a role model to pupils in speech, dress, behaviour and attitude.
