Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse with SCPHN in School Nursing or a current SCPHN student approaching qualification to join our School Nursing team in London. Main duties of the job

As a School Nurse, you will play an important role in improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people by delivering evidence-based, person-centred care.

• Deliver the Healthy Child Programme for school-aged children.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care for children, young people and families with a range of health needs.
• Promote physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, safeguarding and healthy lifestyles.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, schools and partner agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary Public Health 0-19 Service and with wider health, education and social care partners.
• Contribute to safeguarding practice and support early intervention to reduce health inequalities.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and work in line with professional standards, local policies and evidence-based practice.
• Support service development, quality improvement and health promotion initiatives while maintaining your own continuing professional development.
