Job summary

Sherborne Schools Group is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Health Centre team on a casual basis. You will provide high-quality nursing care and health support to pupils, staff and visitors in a welcoming environment.

You will work with parents, teaching staff and external healthcare professionals to promote pupil wellbeing, manage day-to-day healthcare needs and respond to acute health concerns with clinical judgment and calmness.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current registration (NMC).
• Experience in paediatrics or school health is preferred.
• Excellent communication with pupils, staff and parents.

You will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care and health support to pupils, staff and visitors in a welcoming and supportive environment. As part of a dedicated and experienced team, you will contribute to the physical and emotional wellbeing of our pupils, providing clinical care, health advice and support while helping to create a safe and nurturing environment. You will need excellent communication skills, sound clinical judgement and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The role offers a varied workload, from managing day-to-day healthcare needs and supporting pupils with both physical and emotional health concerns, to working collaboratively with parents, teaching staff and external healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for those in our care.

This position would suit a nurse who is confident working independently, enjoys building positive relationships with young people and takes a proactive approach to promoting health and wellbeing.
