Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a School Nurse based at Ballot Road Clinic.
What you will do:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within North Ayrshire for a School Nurse / Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Schools) Post: Applications for candidates willing to undertake the SCPHN (Schools) course would be considered. Post will be 37 hours per week. Post holder will work in partnership with children/young people and families, and multiagency partners to identify health needs and then support and deliver interventions to a vulnerable client group as defined by the refocused role of the School nurse and following the School Nursing Pathways. The post holder will be expected to be accountable for caseload management, school nurse activity and support the school nursing service as delegated by the team manager.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Evidence of continuing professional development, good communication skills and IT skills are essential as is being a car owner/driver.
You must be a first level registered nurse, educated to degree level. A working knowledge of Child Protection and Looked After Child systems is desirable. Membership of the PVG scheme prior to appointment is required.
