Overview

School Nurse - Battersea, London

Full Time, term-time only. Competitive salary. An independent, co-educational day school in Battersea located on a 12-acre site near Clapham Junction railway station. They seek an experienced and well-qualified Nurse to support pupils and staff in the medical room and assist with the administration of the medical department.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first aid and emergency care and treatment to pupils and employees as required.
  • Assist with the organisation and management of vaccinations.
  • Communicate with parents and, when required, collaborate with healthcare professionals to support the medical needs of pupils.
  • Maintain and update medical records.
  • Ensure the maintenance and organisation of medical rooms and monitor and restock first aid kits around the school; supply first aid kits for trips when necessary.
  • Support with administrative tasks related to the medical department as needed.
Working Arrangements
  • Term-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, with 30 minutes for lunch.
  • Additional requirements: 15 days per annum, including 9 Saturdays (autumn and spring terms) and 6 days during school holidays.
Qualifications and Skills
  • RGN with a degree in nursing and current NMC registration.
  • Confident in addressing medical issues and communicating with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
