Job summary

Nottingham Girls High School, part of The Girls' Day School Trust (GDST), is seeking a part-time minibus driver. You will work 20 hours per week during term time, ensuring safe transport for students and maintaining buses to high standards.

Role requires a Cat D1 licence, MIDAS or willingness to obtain, and the ability to respond calmly in emergencies. You will join a dedicated team at the Nottingham site, with shifts in the morning and afternoon.

Qualifications

  • A valid Cat D1 classification on your driving licence plus an acceptable driving record.
  • Be prepared to take the MIDAS qualification.
  • Ability to react calmly in emergency situations.
  • Over 21 years of age.
  • Be prepared to take a suitable First Aid qualification.
  • Maintaining good customer relations with parents and the school.

Responsibilities

  • Drive minibuses/MPVs for transporting girls to and from school, 20 hours per week, term time only.
  • Shift times include 06:45–08:30 and 15:15–17:25; perform daily prestart safety inspections, fueling and washing of the bus.

What You'll Be Doing

At Nottingham Girls High School, we run a fleet of minibuses and MPVs to ensure our girls are safely and comfortably transported to and from school. We are looking for a minibus driver to join our professional and conscientious team. You will work 20 hours per week, term time only.

The Shift Patterns Are As Follows

Approximate driving times: 06:45 - 08:30 and then 15:15 - 17:25, plus daily prestart safety inspection, fueling and washing of the bus
