Job summary

Saint Joseph's Catholic Primary School, A Catholic Voluntary Academy, seeks a reliable Minibus Driver with premises support duties to join our school team in Saltburn by the Sea. This 21.25-hour-per-week, term-time role combines pupil transport with site tasks to ensure safety and secure premises.

The ideal candidate holds a clean UK driving licence with D1 entitlement, is child-friendly, punctual, safety-conscious, and flexible. Training on safeguarding will be provided.

Qualifications

• Current, clean UK driving licence with D1 entitlement.
• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-minded in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport pupils to and from school, trips and activities.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Ensure pupils are seated and wearing seatbelts at all times.
• Maintain a calm, positive environment on the bus.
• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Keep the vehicle clean and roadworthy.
• Ensure site security via premises duties when required.
• Empty bins and tidy the site as part of premises tasks.
• Assist with general site tidying and incidental cleaning.
