Job Title: School Mental Health Assistant
Sector: Education and Training
Location: Hatfield
Pay: £460-£500 per week
Hours: 8:30 - 15:30

This SEN school in Hatfield is looking for SEN Psychology and Criminology Graduates to become their School Mental Health Assistant, providing first-class support to children with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, ADHD, communication difficulties, Down syndrome, and speech, language, and communication needs.

This role is ideal for those aspiring to careers in Counselling, Men's Health, Wellbeing, Criminal, Social or Youth Justice, or social care.

The School Mental Health Assistant role offers hands-on experience working with students requiring additional support, helping you develop your understanding and knowledge through education and training. If you're interested in youth work, this opportunity is not to be missed.

Your Role as a School Mental Health Teaching Assistant:
  1. Provide tailored support to students with complex mental health and behavioural needs.

What is required?
  • An Undergraduate Degree (preferred) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Criminology and Psychology Graduates

  • Knowledge or understanding of different types of learning and behavioural needs (including SEMH)
