Swinton Fitzwilliam Primary School is seeking a School Meals Supervisory Assistant to join our team. The role focuses on lunch-time supervision, ensuring smooth dining and safe play for children, and supporting their personal needs as required.

The successful candidate will work within a close-knit staff team to promote wellbeing, safety and positive behaviour, contributing to a caring, engaging lunch-time environment for all pupils.

• Be responsible for preparing/clearing the dining room
• Supporting children during lunchtime ensuring their safety and access to learning at lunchtimes
• Attend to children’s personal needs, including first aid and welfare matters
• Encourage children to wash their hands and eat independently
• Supervise children in the dinner hall, as well as other indoor and outdoor areas including supervising their behaviour and leading playground games
• Enjoy working with children, and use your initiative and creativity to promote imaginative games and use of playground equipment
• Demonstrate high expectations of behaviour
• Work closely with a team of colleagues to ensure safety and wellbeing of our children
