SCHOOLS LIAISON OFFICER
Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £27,031 - £31,318 per annum (depending on experience)
Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) is one of the very best colleges in the country. In October 2024 we became the first and only further education provider in England to achieve a full set of outstanding grades in consecutive Ofsted Inspections. This includes recognition of our strong contribution towards meeting Local Skills Needs under the latest version of the Education Inspection Framework (EIF).
The inspection report praised all areas of the College\'s provision and acknowledged NSCG\'s \'staff are professional, friendly, incredibly supportive and work tirelessly to meet the needs of learners\' \'teachers improve their practice based upon the support they receive\' and \'teachers create highly supportive, calm and highly aspirational environments in which learners and apprentices thrive\'. In summary, NSCG is a great place to work and study.
The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full-time students with around 2,000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes. We have over 1,500 apprentices where we work with over 850 individual employers. Our Sixth Form provision has a reputation for high academic achievement and excellence.
Our vibrant campuses provide a warm and friendly welcome, with first class facilities and a dedicated staff team who put learner success at the heart of everything they do. Our vision, strategy and culture helps to ensure we are recognised as an outstanding organisation where students and staff thrive, achieve and make a positive contribution to the cultural and economic prosperity of Staffordshire and beyond…we call it being \'committed to excellence\'.
With constant investment to improve our campus and facilities, the recent acquisition of Leek College and the opening of the new £22.5M Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Institute of Technology, now is an exciting time to start your career journey with Staffordshire\'s leading college.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic individual to join our team in the role of Schools Liaison Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career with an Ofsted Outstanding college.
The function of the Schools Liaison team is to positively promote NSCG, and the opportunities it offers, drive student recruitment and provide a point of contact for all of the College\'s contacts with schools in the Staffordshire region and beyond.
Whilst experience in a similar role is advantageous, it is not essential. Applications will be considered from individuals with a proven track record in a sales, marketing, business development or customer service role. You will join an experienced team who are friendly and knowledgeable, with a wealth of sector experience and as such, full training will be given to the right candidate.
Building upon a wide range of current virtual and in-school activities, the post holder will be part of a team responsible for raising awareness of the \'NSCG experience\' amongst prospective students, their parents, schools and careers staff. It goes without saying that as a key brand ambassador, our Schools Liaison Officer will need to be a true \'people person\', always professional, with bags of confidence, a love of networking and an enjoyment of presenting and speaking at events.
The college offers an excellent benefits package which includes:
