Holroyd Howe is recruiting a Kitchen Porter/Assistant to join the Bishopsgate School kitchen team in Egham. The role focuses on keeping the kitchen clean, safe, and efficient while supporting chefs with basic prep in a food-led educational setting.

The position is based at Bishopsgate School with a schedule 10am-5pm during term time, offering training, development opportunities, and benefits includingMeals provided, pension, and a supporting work environment.

Qualifications

• A keen interest in food and cooking.
• Good attention to detail and understanding of hygiene practices.
• Team player with a positive and flexible attitude.
• Previous kitchen experience or relevant training is beneficial but not essential.
• Willingness to work in an education or high-profile catering environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Assist chefs with basic food prep and stock deliveries
• Operate dishwashers and ensure proper sanitation practices
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
• Support the team in daily kitchen operations and setup for service
• Accountability for following and championing allergen controls
