Job summary

The Norse Catering team at Holly Meadows School is seeking a Cook Manager to lead the kitchen and supervise the lunch service for students and staff. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving nutritious meals in line with dietary requirements.

This 25-hour-per-week, term-time-only role (38 weeks per year) offers pro rata pay and 28 days of paid holiday, with opportunities for accredited training and career progression. DBS checks will be required for the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment.
• Organised with understanding of food industry costs and budgeting.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the kitchen team and prepare, cook and serve lunches for students and staff.
• Ensure food safety, health and safety and food allergens are managed.
• Utilise the kitchen management system tablet for updates and paperwork minimisation.
