Impact Food Group (IFG) is hiring a Cook Manager for Wylam First School. Working Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week during term-time plus inset days, with a pay of £22,859 per annum.

This hands-on management role requires leading a kitchen team to deliver fresh, seasonal meals to pupils, while ensuring hygiene and stock control. The ideal candidate will have prior kitchen management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards in

Qualifications

• Experience managing a kitchen, ideally in schools or high-volume catering environments.
• Skilled in preparing fresh, seasonal food.

• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the catering team.
• Prepare and serve fresh, seasonal meals for the school.
• Plan menus, manage stock, and ensure hygiene standards.
• Liaise with onsite clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure service runs smoothly and efficiently.
