Job summary

Impact Food Group (IFG) is recruiting a Cook Manager for The Marist in West Byfleet. You will lead a kitchen team, delivering fresh, seasonal meals to students on a 35-hour week (7.30am–3pm), across 39 weeks a year.

The role requires prior kitchen management experience, strong leadership, menu planning, stock control and a solid understanding of food hygiene. Benefit from daytime hours, holidays off, and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a kitchen, ideally in schools or high-volume catering.
• Strong cooking and menu planning skills.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Lead, motivate and develop the catering team.
• Prepare and serve fresh, seasonal meals for students.
• Plan menus, manage stock and ensure food hygiene compliance.
• Liaise with onsite clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth service.
• Ensure service runs efficiently and to high standards.
