You will manage menus, pricing, stock, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety. The role requires coordinating with senior management and adapting to term-time or full-term contracts.

Qualifications

• Excellent culinary skills with experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Business management experience within a kitchen environment.

• NVQ Level 2 in professional cookery or equivalent is desirable.
• Intermediate food hygiene/Level 2 certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage house menu, food production planning, and purchasing within budgetary constraints.
• Oversee cleanliness and general housekeeping of all kitchen areas, ensuring health and safety compliance.
• Implement new policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide up-to-date reports on progress to senior management.
• Lead the kitchen team, focusing on development and progression.
• Train and develop kitchen staff with succession planning.
