Job summary

Aspens Services in the education catering sector is seeking a Cook for one of our schools. You will bring our menus to life with your craft skills, creating healthy, nutritious meals for students and staff while upholding the highest standards.

You’ll work Monday to Friday during school term time (35 hours/week, 38 weeks/year) at £15 per hour. Training is available, safeguarding is required, and you’ll build strong relationships with clients and pupils.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of education catering and fresh ingredients.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate (training offered).
• Self-motivated, proactive and eager to learn.
• Ability to motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Creative Menu Execution: Preparing provided menus with craft skills.
• Safety Champion: Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene, Allergen, and Health & Safety standards.
• Hospitality Production: Execute high-quality hospitality requests for clients and events.
• Building Connections: Develop strong relationships with school clients and students.
• Service with a Smile: Provide friendly, polite customer service.
