Job summary

Impact Food Group (IFG) is hiring a Cook at Holy Trinity Academy, Telford. You will support the onsite Chef Manager and team in delivering fresh, nutritious meals for students and staff, aligning with school menus.

Working hours are 8am-3pm, 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time plus inset days (37 weeks per year). No evenings or weekends, with benefits including free meals on shift and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment preferred.
• Basic cooking skills and willingness to learn and develop.
• Positive, reliable, team-focused attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Interest in preparing good, fresh food.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking meals following set menus.
• Supporting with food prep using fresh ingredients.
• Assisting with service, including counter work.
• Ensuring food is prepared and presented to a high standard.
• Maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and dining area.
• Following food safety and health & safety procedures.
