Job summary

Parkwood Hall Co-operative Academy in Swanley, Kent, is hiring a Domestic Assistant. The role is based on 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year (term time + INSET days), with hours to be agreed (6-10am, 7-11am or 2-6pm) and annual leave.

Salary will be £11,997 to £12,180. You will perform cleaning tasks, dust, vacuum, mop and sanitise surfaces, store materials correctly, and follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe, welcoming school environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or within a school/hospital environment is desirable.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with excellent communication skills.
• Proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks in designated areas, ensuring surfaces are sanitised and clean.
• Dust, vacuum, mop and sanitise restrooms.
• Store cleaning materials correctly.
• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
